More than Homes webinar brings UK housing providers together at Christmastime4 December | News
Find out more about how you can support the More than Homes campaign in the run up to Christmas during a dedicated “More than Homes – Christmas & beyond” webinar, taking place between 3pm and 4pm on Wednesday 9 December.
Launched at the beginning of the first national Covid-19 lockdown, More than Homes involves UK housing coming together to support The Trussell Trust’s network of food banks, and sharing the work they are doing to help residents through the pandemic.
During the hour-long webinar, Paul Dolan, chief executive of Accent Group and founder of More than Homes, is joined by Chris Woo, head of grants and fundraising at The Trussell Trust, to talk about the work UK housing providers have been doing to raise more than £250,000 so far, as well as what needs to be done next.
Paul and Chris will be joined by a housing colleague working on the front line who will share their experiences and highlight how the UK housing sector has the ability to tackle the stigma associated with needing emergency food and other sources of support.
As we head into 2021, the More than Homes campaign will give housing providers the chance to share all of the work they are doing to help and support their residents and members of their wider communities.
“We’ll be sharing the various different ways housing associations can get involved in the campaign and use it as a way to demonstrate the various ways in which they are supporting residents during an extremely difficult time,” said Paul.
“The More than Homes is already backed by the National Housing Federation, the Chartered Institute of Housing, and the Northern Housing Consortium, and we want the sector as a whole to take ownership of campaign objectives, using the #MorethanHomes hashtag on social media whenever relevant.
“We’ll be answering any questions during the webinar and providing participants with the tools they need to get started,” explained Paul. “We look forward to seeing you there!”
You can register for the webinar, which will be hosted on GoTo Webinar, here.
